Servant's Heart Home Health Services Home Health Aide job description:
The Home Health Aide is preferred to have at least 2 year experience in patient care, or have Nurse Aide Certification within the last year. They shall be supervised by a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
The Home Health Aide should be able to do the following:
Communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and make brief and accurate oral presentations to patients, Home Health Aides, and other staff
Observe, report, document patient status and the care or service furnished
Have knowledge of basic infection control procedures and universal precautions.
Have knowledge of basic elements of body functioning and changes in body function that must be reported to an Home Health Aide's supervisor
Be able to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment
Recognize emergencies and know emergency procedures
Understand the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of the population served, including the need for respect for the patient, the patient's privacy, and the patient's property
Deliver appropriate and safe techniques in personal hygiene and grooming that include the following:
bed bath
bath (sponge, tub, or shower)
shampoo (sink, tub, or bed)
nail and skin care
oral hygiene
toileting and elimination
Provide safe transfer techniques and ambulation
Understand normal range of motion and positioning
Monitor for adequate nutrition and fluid intake
Provide medication reminders
Participate in regularly scheduled in-services and training provided
Carry out any other tasks (such as cleaning, cooking, ironing, laundry, etc. )that the patient may choose to have the Home Health Aide perform
Servant's Heart Home Health Services LPN / RN job description:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
The LPN works under direct supervision of the Registered Nurse and manager. LPN's will provide nursing services to clients as directed by each client's plan of care.
Qualifications:
Displays a kind and compassionate attitude towards the disabled and the elderly demonstrated by previous experience
Must be licensed in the state of Indiana and on active status, in good standing
At least one year experience in the health care industry is preferred, especially in home supportive services, but not required.
Registered Nurse (RN)
Registered nurses will ensure that quality care is provided to clients, while maintaining clinical compliance. RN's may also oversee training of field staff and supervise the work of LPN's.
Qualifications:
Displays a kind and compassionate attitude towards the disabled and the elderly demonstrated by previous experience
Must have a four-year college degree from an accredited institution, or have an RN certificate from an accredited institution.
Must have a current RN license in the state of Indiana, active and in good standing.
Must have at least one year experience in home supportive services or a related field.
